About This Product

Pul biber is produced from semi-dried Capsicum annuum peppers grown in Turkey's southeastern provinces — particularly Urfa and the broader Southeastern Anatolian pepper belt. The peppers are dried, deseeded, and crushed to a coarse flake with a characteristic oily texture from the natural pepper oils retained in the skin. Available in standard red pepper flakes (mild-medium heat), Urfa isot (dark, smoky, low heat), and Aleppo-style (fruity, medium heat) varieties.

One of the most widely used spices in Turkish and Middle Eastern cooking — sprinkled on eggs, grilled meats, mezze, and flatbreads, and used as a seasoning ingredient in sauces and marinades.
